Sometimes it feels like we are
chasing footsteps
trying to walk in the shoes
of others
or of who we once were
or of past lives
that we have remnants of memories
sensed but not forgotten
pieces of self
In times gone by
Sometimes it feels like we are
chasing footsteps
of who we think we should be
of who they think we should be
Instead of accepting
who we are
those beautiful imperfections
of lives that are worth living
that are worth holding on to
just the way they are
And sometimes it feels like we are
chasing footsteps
that are not going anywhere
or meeting others expectations
or ours...
and then we stop and listen
to our kundalini and
we know we hear
it's all ok to be as we are
and make corrections
little by little
one step at a time
and still we try to silence
that voice
And then we put one foot before the other
as we realize that it is better
to help and heal others
so that we can better heal ourselves
and we stop looking at it as if
we are chasing footsteps
and see it as if we are chasing pieces of
our selves
and we allow ourselves
to become whole...
