Projections

On Psychological Projections

For years when I was into Western kabbalah and going through the rungs on the tree of life, I noticed that there was one juncture in particular that would hang alot of people up. That juncture was that within the Psychological body, namely Psychological “Projections.” People had such a hard time, first of all admitting that they in fact “projected” and when it was surrounding especially their negative reactions that exposed their deep seated anger and secrets they would just completely shut down. These are the unconscious things that they do not even like to admit that they have, or have a tendency toward.

I learned that everyone projects, all the time when interacting with another person. These projections can be very positive when we see ourselves reflected in the divine actions or glow of another person or they can become very negative when someone outside of ourselves actions or behavior cause us to react strongly with anger, or jealousy or hatred etc. Showing us that by our strong reaction to this person we are learning that we are reacting so strongly because we either also do this or we carry the tendency towards this also and need to be reminded that this is not how we want to conduct ourselves.

The ultimate goal when watching our projections both negative and positive is that it teaches us to know ourselves better and gives us the opportunity to make these things about ourselves conscious so that we can recognize old outdated patterns and deep seated emotions and eradicate them by changing our behaviors. I learned all of this during my activation phase of the kundalini. Yet after awakening we can take these same lessons only now they are at a whole new level. No longer are they just glaringly obvious to us, if we do not pay attention to them we end up overreacting with intense emotions from our over energized emotional bodies. They also come as much faster and harder reminders that we may not have everything inside ourselves completely dealt with. And also it reminds us that not only is there always more work to be done but there are always deeper and deeper levels at which this work can and must be done. The peeling of the onion can go all the way to the core. With the help of our kundalini we can explore all of this.
